schedule as we'll be at a different park each week starting June 6, 2008.
SLC Gets Fit 5K Fun Run, Volleyball and Online Tracking Competition
Starts in June
Salt Lake City Gets Fit is a fitness program for the entire community. The
program kicks off June 1st when we begin the online exercise
tracking for anyone who lives, works or recreates in Salt Lake City. A
couple of weeks later, we present the State's largest outdoor volleyball
tournament. Finally, you can use
the 12-week exercise tracking as training for our finale - a 5K Fun Run at
Liberty Park on Saturday, September 6th.
People's Market 6/15-10/26
The People’s Market is an opportunity for residents, local growers, and
city-wide consumers to come together for good food and great bargains on locally
produced items. This year the market runs from June 15 to October 26 at
Jordan Park, home of the International Peace Gardens.
An Old-Fashioned 4th of July 7/4/08
Salt Lake City's annual 4th of July celebration will include, music, food, fun and
fireworks. Picture an old-time carnival with games for kids, cake
walks, a pie eating contest and a great sense of community.
Entertainment will include local talent and performances by the Radio Disney
Dancers.

International CultureFest 7/23/08
An evening filled with lively music and entertainment, delicious ethnic foods,
colorful costumes, unique cultural art displays, and a variety of demonstrations
all celebrating the different ethnic cultures found in Utah. This
year you can save your favorite spot on the parade route and then join us for
the evening as the event will be on "Parade Eve", Wednesday, July 23rd. A spectacular
fireworks show will close the evening.
Pioneer Park Picnic Series Weekdays (M-F),

The Pioneer Park Picnic Series is a new addition to Salt Lake City’s great summer events. Close to downtown restaurants, hotels and businesses, Pioneer Park is a great place to enjoy a relaxing lunch while listening to local musicians.
Monster Block Party 10/25/08
The Monster Block Party is a FREE, family-friendly Halloween party for Salt
Lake City's goblins and ghouls of all ages. Come for the trick-or-treating booths, a costume contest with prizes (Kid, Teen and Adult divisions),
a photo booth, a kids pumpkin decorating contest, arts & crafts projects, pinatas
and more!
