UTA Rideshare’s 2008 Bike Bonanza

to the 13th Annual Bike Bonanza
On Friday, May 16 UTA Rideshare is celebrating the 13th
Annual Bike Bonanza at Gallivan Plaza in downtown Salt Lake City. The Bike
Bonanza is a cycling event for the entire community. Bring your family,
friends, and bicycles. There will be free bike tune-ups and safety
demonstrations. Visit the many vendor booths, and when you get hungry enjoy
a slice of Papa John Pizza or a Creamy. This year we will have a bicycle
obstacle course available for all ages. Free helmets will be given to the
first 75 kids.
Join Salt
Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker at 6:00 p.m. for a for a police escorted ride
through downtown Salt Lake City. Have your photo taken with Mayor Becker on
a tandom bicycle from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Prizes!
Prizes! Prizes! There will be drawings held throughout the evening for great
prizes iincluding two (2) bicycles by sponsored by Specialized as well as a
gift certificate for an electric bike, compliments of Eco Moto as well as
many other prizes thoughout the event. (Note: You must be present at the
time of the drawing to win.)

The 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run is coming soon (Sept. 6th)- start getting ready
now!
SLC Gets Fit will culminate its 12 week exercise tracking program with the
Second Annual 5K Fun Run. Following the run, prizes will be awarded not only to
our 5K participants, but to the winning teams in our online tracking as well.
The run will be open to all ages and abilities. It’s not about winning, it’s
about fun, exercise, and meeting your own personal 5K goal. It’s all about
getting out and getting fit!

Pioneer Park Picnic Series
This August, Pioneer Park will be the site of a
new lunchtime concert series. From noon to 1pm on weekdays (Monday through
Friday), local musicians will be performing on a temporary stage - all for FREE!
Close to downtown restaurants, hotels and businesses, Pioneer Park is a great place to enjoy a relaxing lunch while
catching a lunchtime show!
