An Old Fashioned 4th of July

A new tradition has been established as Jordan Park has become the site of a major “Old Fashioned” 4th of July Celebration for SLC’s west side. For the sixth year since its return, this Independence Day event promises to be bigger and better than ever with live music, food, games and FIREWORKS!

Admission is free and families can buy hot dogs, tacos, snow cones and cotton candy. There will be carnival games, a pie eating contest, activity booths and other vendors.

Radio Disney will be on site with games, prizes, 3-legged races and of course a performance by the Radio Disney Dancers!

***Money from the sale of all popcorn, cotton candy and carnival game tickets will be donated to the Utah Dream Center in Glendale!!!***

For the grand finale - a Fireworks show! So bring your blanket and enjoy a night out with your neighbors!

The 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run is coming soon (Sept. 6th)- start getting ready now!

SLC Gets Fit will culminate its 12 week exercise tracking program with the Second Annual 5K Fun Run. Following the run, prizes will be awarded not only to our 5K participants, but to the winning teams in our online tracking as well.

The run will be open to all ages and abilities. It’s not about winning, it’s about fun, exercise, and meeting your own personal 5K goal. It’s all about getting out and getting fit!

Pioneer Park Picnic Series

Local music, Fridays, for FREE!

Fridays in September will be the site of our extended lunchtime concert series.  From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the north end of the park, local musicians and other artists will be performing on a temporary stage - all for FREE!  Close to downtown restaurants, hotels and businesses, Pioneer Park is a great place to enjoy a relaxing lunch while catching a lunchtime show!
